ALCS Game 2 - Oakland Sweeps Series In Memorial Stadium. Move Back To California For Game 3.

 GAME 2:

Jose Canseco crushed a homer in the 1st, but Billy Ripken answered with an RBI double in the bottom of the inning. Mark McGwire led off the 2nd with a line drive homer to make it 2-1. In the 5th, Rickey Henderson hit an absolute bomb with a man on...Statcast estimated it at 422 feet. Craig Worthington's error in the 6th opened the door for Terry Steinbach's RBI single, putting the A's ahead by 4. Bob Welch pitched very well through 5, but the Orioles broke through for another run in the 6th on Joe Orsulak's triple and Cal Ripken Jr.'s run-scoring single. In the 7th, Baltimore loaded the bases 2 singles and a walk, driving Welch out of the game. Pinch hitter Mike Devereaux hit a short fly ball, but it was deep enough to score a run. Gene Nelson came on to get Oakland out of trouble. However, he got them right back into trouble in the 8th, allowing a single and a HBP. Joe Klink retired pinch hitter David Segui, then Reggie Harris came off to finish the inning. Dennis Eckersley allowed a leadoff single in the 9th, but recovered to retire the next 3 batters, striking out 2 of them for the save.
