ALCS GAME 5 - Never Say Die Orioles Squeak Past Athletics. Baltimore Survives To Play Another Day

 GAME 5

In a rematch of the game 1 pitching matchup, Cal Ripken Jr. made sure that Dave Stewart wouldn't shut them out again when he launched a 2-run homerun in the 1st. Harold Baines got 1 of those back in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single, and Jose Canseco tied the game with a run-scoring double in the 3rd. And that's the way things stayed through 7. Then Joe Orsulak stunned the home crowd when he pulled one down the right field line for a go-ahead homerun. Curt Schilling pitched a scoreless 8th, and Gregg Olson pitched a 1-2-3 9th for another save. Back to Baltimore we go!
